North Carolina 89, N.C. State 80 ACC Men's Hoops

No. 3 ranked North Carolina handed fellow state university system school N.C. State another loss in the ACC regular season men's basketball game.

The Tar Heels are gaining momentum toward the post-season while the Wolfpack seem to be slipping away from any potential at-large bid for the NCAA tournament.

Tyler Hansbrough scored 27 points to lead all scorers. Tyler Zeller made his first appearance since injuring his wrist in the November 2008 Kentucky game. Zeller managed 2 points.

Sidney Lowe's squad kept the score within reach at halftime with only a three-point margin separating the Big Four rivals. Pack guard Javier Gonzalez was impressive with a 4-for-4 peformance from three-point range.

Game On! Town Hall Grill Offers Great Viewing Venue for Duke-Carolina

I was not able to get credentialed for the Duke-Carolina game at Cameron. That was a bummer; however, it led to opportunity.

A fellow photographer had mentioned that he would be photographing at a restaurant for the establishment. It was a perfect chance for me to provide a great service to a venue I frequent.

I met a lot of great people just enjoying the game. I put up a couple strobes to improve the light quality. The photographs from the outside looking through the glass are my favorite. It really is great to have the equipment to pull off these assignments effeciently.

Thanks to all the fans a for the Tar Heels for winning given I was in Chapel Hill. The photographs would have been dull if Carolina had lost.

Well, March 8th is the next Battle of Tobacco Road. I'm fairly certain I will be on the baseline at the Dean Smith Center.

Thanks again to the Town Hall Grill and especially the clientele for allowing me to make photographs of them.

Labradorable

My wife passes by "Yellow Dog" every workday and always says, "I love him."

I was borrowing her car last week and decided to leave a bit early to photograph yellow dog. The dog's owner pulled into the drive as I was taking pictures. It proved to be good timing as I asked the owner if it was alright.

I explained that my wife and I own a lab ourselves and she asked me to photograph yellow dog because I am a professional photographer. I handed the owner a business card and was given the information about yellow dog.

I had about twenty minutes before I was due to pick my bride up from work. It was great. I played fetch with yellow dog, watched him crush sticks with his jaws and wiped the paw prints off my clothes after he excitedly tackled me.

I do love photography. It gets me access to so many great events. This "assignment" made me recall the little things that are important. My wife does not know I have these photographs, yet. I can't wait to hear her reaction. I know she'll be jelly that I got to meet yellow dog.

These photographs will make a great gift for my wife. Imagine what the owners will think when they get a few prints at their doorstep.

I hope you get the time to play with your children and pets today. Thanks to yellow dogs owners for allowing me to have a fun 20-minutes.
