North Carolina started sluggishly against Miami but rallied as Danny Green turned the momentum to end the first half up by four.
The second half was all Wayne Ellington who drained seven three-pointers in the second half on ten attempts. He missed his first attempt in the first half giving Ellington 7-11 for the game from three-point range.
The next big game at the Dean Smith Center is Monday when the lady Tar Heels host the lady Huskies for a no. 2 v. no. 1, respectively, match-up.
